Carradice Saddle Bag Supports - Expedition and Sport

Traverse style saddle bags, like the Carradice Nelson or the Fifth Season Key Pa, require a saddle bag support on all but the biggest frames.  Even big frames benefit, but don’t absolutely need a bag support, because the saddle height keeps the bag off the rear tire.

We carry two saddle bag supports that only work as bag supports.  Other racks, like the R-15, can be used for other things as well, but the Carradice Expedition Bag Support and the Nitto R-10 are our go to dedicated racks for traverse style bags.  

You can choose which bag support like this:

Gotta size 54 or larger frame, and ride pavement, commute, and gravel?  Get the Carradice support.  Ride gnarly stuff, or have a smaller frame, or just carry way too much weight?  Get an R-10.  

The Carradice support attaches with one bolt.  Dead simple.  If you don’t put 30 pounds of potash in your bag, this support will not break.  Reports of them breaking are invariably from misuse, not bad product design.  I’ve used these supports for years, and sold many dozens, with no reported failures.  Buy with confidence.

Choose the Expedition support for larger bags like the Carradice Camper and Nelson, or the Fifth Season Key Pa. For smaller bags like the Barley and Lowsaddle, go with the Sport.
