A bit of the old, a bit of the new. Analog Cycles and the Poultney Pub will hosting the 7th Annual X-Mas lights ride on December 12th, followed by a Holiday market at Analog's downtown Poultney location on the 13th.
The Poultney X-Mas lights ride is a very slow bike parade from East Poultney to Poultney. Instead of riding around to look at lights on houses, the riders are the lights. Come with bikes decorated for the holidays, any theme is fine! We've had reindeer, menoras, santa, trees, Christmas lights and more.
Riders: Meet at the East Poultney Village Green at 6:30 PM with a decorated holiday bike. Must have some sort of lights, it will be dark out. Xmas lights count! Prizes for best children's bike, best grown up bike, and most dangerous bike! We'll do a very slow parade pace ride from East Poultney to Poultney, where we will loop around the town and end up at Poultney Pub for drinks and entertainment. Factor around 3 miles of riding, very flat. Family friendly, as long as you and yours are ok with the ride length and temps.
Poultney Pub Watch Party! Don't wanna ride but you still wanna check out the bike parade? Hang out on the Poultney Pub porch starting at 6:30 with some warm beverages and cheer the riders on! Bring cow bells or jingle bells for extra cheering points. Stay around for the post ride party at the pub where we'll be spinning Xmas themed records. Have a fun holiday record? Bring it along!
