The Tanglefoot Hardtack is the Shure SM58 of bikes, the Pentax Spotmatic, the 8″ chef’s knife. Built for endurance, useful in half a dozen guises, and likely to outlast its original owner.

Wanna Tanglefoot Hardtack but don't need to pick out every last detail?  We've put together a tight build that saves hundreds of dollars off a custom Hardtack. Every bit of this bike is stuff we ride and like.  No filler, no fluff.

Whether it’s gravel escapades, urban commutes, conquering rocky and greasy east coast trails with finesse, embracing leisurely long road rides, or embarking on O.G. loaded tours, the Hardtack is your best friend that never talks shit behind your back.

Three wheel options: 27.5 Velocity Blunt 35 rims with 2.6" Continental Cross King Pure Grip tires, 29" Velocity Aero rims with Continental Dubnital 29 x 2.2 tires or 29" Velocity Aero rims with Panaracer Gravel King SK 50mm tires.  

Spec highlights include Bitex hubs laced to Velocity rims, TRP Spyre brakes, a Discord stem and a Microshift SWORD drivetrain with SRAM Dub SX cranks.  Plenty of other stuff to love on there too.  More specs when you scroll down.

Each Hardtack complete takes about a month to build and box.  Sometimes less, but let's say a month to be safe.   

Shipping is calculated after the sale.  We ship via bikeflights with full insurance and just charge you what it costs us to ship the bike, there's no boxing fee or any hidden BS. 

The system is going to charge you something for shipping.  We will invoice you once the bike is boxed, and you will pay the difference.  IE if you stick the bike in your cart and order it today, and shipping is 26 dollars, and when we box the bike it's 140 dollars, we will invoice you for  $114 dollars.
