Years ago, James (me!) swapped some box section rims for wider 'n taller modern profiles, and dang, big cross section rims hit different. Suddenly my Rivendell wanted to lean deep into corners, blast up fire roads. I wasn't riding bad old rims, I was riding Mavic Open Pros, but these Rollcii rims with their 21mm internal cavity are just way stiffer. Stiff rims ride better. You want stiff rims, soft tires.
Mark has been building wheels for 39 years, and has built over 1000 (that's my low estimate, he usually builds a few pair a week, works most weeks, and has been here for 9 years...) while working at Analog. He builds all of our wheels, and I (James) check em over, cause a second set of eyes is never a bad thing.
Quick note on shipping. We will ship your wheels using bikeflights with full insurance. The shopify system will automatically bill you SOMETHING for the shipping. We will bill you for the difference, or refund you, after we build, box, and weigh the wheels. Wheels will be shipped in about 2 weeks, after they work through Mark's build queue.
Hub Specs:
Bitex RAF12 and RAR12 hubs. Aluminum Axles. Serviceable aluminum freehub body with the Bitex anti bite plate, replaceable / repackable sealed bearings. 100mm x 9mm front hub, 135mm or 130mm x 10mm rear hub. 302 grams for the pair.
Note. We can build these with 130mm rear spacing or 135mm rear spacing. Please specify in the order comments.
