The Velo Orange Granola Bar is similar to the Nitto Albatross, but updated for use with 31.8mm clamp stems.
The critical difference between a Nitto bar of this ilk and the Granola bar is that the former can take bar end shifters, and the VO can not. Not a big deal, plenty of good thumbie shifters and trigger shifters and grip shifters, so don’t pout, but just be aware of it. The rest is straight forward: the Granola bar can take standard mountain bike brake levers and grips and the aforementioned shifters.
60 degree backsweep, 30mm of rise, 650mm wide. That makes em wider than an Albatross bar, but not wicked wide. If you have narrow shoulders (under 40cm) get the Nitto bars, but everyone else can get these bars and feel fine about themselves in the morning.
Glossy black or silver.
Aluminum so they’re reasonably light. Pair with some Ergon grips for max comfort, or some Oury grips if you wanna channel 1997, Jncos and Nu Metal.
