The Slate Valley Trails system is made up of 60 miles of well maintained public trails throughout Poultney, Castleton and Wells. These trails are a great introduction to riding in this neck of the woods, with lots of local flora and fauna and some good views. Though the trails are well marked with permanent signage, there are some longer trails that string together a series of shorter loops, and it's nice to have a map along to check your location.
