Sold by the one’s because you rarely lose more than one at a time.  Aluminum stakes made by Black Diamond.  Don’t tell them we’re selling these individually, they’ll probably freak out.  Y shaped stakes seem to hold best in the widest varieties of soil.  Don’t use a rock to wack these into place, use the sole of your shoe.  They’ll last longer.  Rule of thumb for stakes: pack 1-2 extra.  They come in handy when you lose a stake, or need an extra for the group tarp, or are camping with Gary of the South, who always, as a rule, forgets his stakes.
