Note! We only stock a few of these cranks, way too many color combos and such to keep them in fully in stock. If you order thru us, we'll save you the crazy DHL shipping. Usually takes about 6 weeks to fulfill a crank order. By ordering you are saying: Hey I'm ok with a wait!
Back when Achy Breaky Heart and 2G wireless were searing brains and ear holes, Magic Motorcycles quietly shook the bike world with a hollow aluminum crank that was the trifecta of radness. Light, machined aluminum and not Achy Breaky, like most 90’s machined cranks were. It was truly revolutionary. Magic Motorcycles was bought by Cannondale, and the cranks became Coda brand, then eventually Cannondale System SI. The latter is still considered one of the lightest, stiffest cranks out there.
Garbaruk has taken the same concept and made a contemporary 1x mountain crankset. Hollow, wicked light (sub 400 grams for crank arms and spindle), stiff, retro cool but only if you know the Magic Motorcycles origins. These cranks are close to perfect. In a nod to the origins of the design, these cranks need Cannondale spec chainrings, which Garbaruk and a few others make. They also need a Cannondale tool to install the chainring, but don’t worry, you can also use a commonly available park BB tool. So, those are the quirks. Not insurmountable!
If you want the lightest aluminum crank out there that can still be used for Gravel and road adventures, get these. Made for Non boost 135mm QR/ 142mm thru axle rear hubs with a 49mm chainline. Get the XC cranks if you have a tire wider than 48mm.
You need to use a Garbaruk chainring for these cranks.
These Garbaruk Gravel / Road Cranks need a 30mm bottom bracket. You can use a raceface unit, White Industries, Wheels Manufacturing, etc. We like the White unit.
With many high end bits and such, we can't possibly stock 'em all, but we appreciate you ordering thru us, regardless. If you read about here, and learned something, that's a good reason to snag it here. There's a bit of lead time, but that's the case with most high end bike bits! It would be the same if you ordered it direct, or on Jenson or whatever.
