The Enlightened Fitting & Build Consultations
Most bike fits try to cram your body into a racing posture you have no business being in. We do the opposite. Whether you are trying to make a bike you already have stop hurting your hands and neck, or you are dreaming up a custom dirt-touring rig from scratch, our Enlightened Fitting process looks at your actual anatomy, your flexibility, the terrain you ride, and how a bike handles when loaded down.
We don't do quick, cookie cutter sizing. Figuring out the relationship between bars, stem, crank length, saddle setback, and frame geometry takes time and understanding. Choose the tier below that matches where you are at with your project.
1. Touch Points Blueprint (Refit + Parts) — $175
For the rider whose current bike almost works, but needs a serious ergonomics intervention.
If your knees are happy and the frame size is generally right, but your hands go numb, your lower back aches, or the steering feels weird, we look at your contact points. We’ll analyze your current setup and physical measurements to prescribe a dialed cockpit overhaul—new bars, the right stem (often zero-offset or high-rise), a proper saddle, seatpost, and pedals.
-
Time Included: Up to 2 hours of consultation time (includes worksheet analysis, geometry math, and back-and-forth emails/calls).
-
The Hardware Rebate: Designed for riders picking up their upgrade parts directly from us. Spend $400–$749 on cockpit parts and get a $75 credit toward your order. Spend $750+ and we’ll credit $125 back to your invoice.
2. Remote Refit (Long-Distance Diagnostic) — $225
All the of the Touch Points Blueprint, with zero obligation to buy parts from us.
Maybe you live overseas, maybe you have a deep parts bin you want to raid, or maybe you want to support your local shop down the street—you just need us to solve the geometry puzzle first. We will review your fitting worksheet, evaluate your current bike’s numbers, and hand you a definitive prescription for stem length/rise, handlebar sweep/width, and saddle positioning so you can stop guessing and buying the wrong parts on eBay.
-
Time Included: Up to 2 hours of consultation time (includes worksheet review and back-and-forth emails).
-
The Hardware Rebate: Pure consultation—no parts credit included. (Note: If you change your mind within 30 days and decide to order $400+ in parts from Analog after all, we will happily convert this into a Touch Points Blueprint and apply the parts credit).
3. The Paper Build (Spec-Only Architecture) — $350
For the rider building a dream bike elsewhere who wants our R&D department in their corner.
Spec'ing a custom bike from the ground up is a minefield of weird bottom bracket standards, chainline math, cable pull ratios, tire clearances, and frame geometry quirks. With The Paper Build, we figure out your ideal frame size, reconcile the geometry to your body, and hand you a complete, itemized, guaranteed-compatible build sheet from headset spacers to saddle XY's. You take the blueprint and source/build the bike wherever you like.
-
Time Included: Up to 4 hours of consultation and spec'ing time (includes deep-dive worksheet analysis, parts compatibility research, and back-and-forth emails).
-
The Hardware Rebate: None. You are buying pure bicycle architecture and peace of mind.
4. New Bike Fit (Ground-Up Build Retainer) — $350
The starting line for an Analog custom build or major rolling chassis package.
If you are buying a frame and build kit from us—or having us supply a serious chunk of the hardware like hand-laced dynamo wheels, a drivetrain, and a cockpit—start here. We put in the exact same deep-dive architecture work as The Paper Build to nail your fit and curate every component down to the housing ferrules, but your upfront fee acts as a retainer that goes right back into your bike.
How the Clock Works (The Fine Print)
We track consultation time. The 2-hour block (for Refits) and 4-hour block (for New Builds) cover our time reviewing your initial Enlightened Fitting Worksheet, running the geometry comparisons, drafting your spec sheet, and answering a reasonable round of follow-up emails to get everything across the finish line.
For 95% of riders, the included time is plenty. However, if a project turns into an epic—like pivoting between five different frames mid-stream, re-spec'ing the drivetrain three times, or months of prolonged email threads—additional consultation time is billed at $100/hour. We will always give you a heads-up before you cross your time threshold so there are never any surprises on your invoice.
