Chromag Trailmaster DT saddle

Saddle color:Brown

Analog HQ has long been a Brooks saddle cheerleader. Since our inception, we’ve sold more B17’s than any other model. The Chromag Trailmaster DT isn’t going to change that but it’s a great saddle nonetheless.

Consider: it looks great. We’re currently stocking brown and green. The brown is a very convincing faux leather. It looks like it’s perforated ala old Detroit Pietro shoes (I do miss mine!) but the perforations don’t go all the way thru so the saddle won’t get soggy in the rain. Just wipe n ride. I love all the subtle graphic details.  It’s well thought out, which is more than you can say for the graphics of 90% of the saddles out there which either have clown graphics or no real graphic consideration.

What else? It’s lighter than a Brooks, but it’s no feather weight. It’s probably as light as a saddle can get and still use steel rails and decent padding. 300 grams or so, or about half a pound less than a B17. Don’t buy a saddle based on weight though.

We’ve sold the Trailmaster ltd for ages, it’s the real leather version of this saddle.  If you’re a vegan or just want a more affordable but still nice looking saddle, and want to save some cheddar, this is a good option.

Narrow, long nose (that’s good for bikes with 71-74 degree seat tube angles), wide flat back like all good saddles have but many many bad saddles lacketh, 140mm wide. Ideal for bars level with, or +\- 1” (2.54cm) above or below saddle. Not good for super aggressive fits or really upright fits.
