Once Shimano discontinued the CX70 front derailleur the world was left with a feeling of hopelessness. What was the point of a double crankset if there were no good front derailleurs any more? So we here at Analog broke out the time machine, and went back to the early 2000’s to procure some Campagnolo Centaur front mechs. These are not as good as the CX70’s, but they’re good for the following set ups:
Works fine with 50/34, 50/36, 48/32, 46/30 roadish cranks. I wouldn’t push em outside of those numbers, but if you have a bike in that realm, this is the mech for you. Silver, like a nice front derailleur oughta be. Needs a braze on front derailleur adapter, unless you have a frame made for compact front braze on derailleur. You likely do not. So we’ll need to know the diameter of your seat tube, or if you lacketh calipers, we’ll need to know what your bike make and model and year is so we can reverse extrapolate the size.
Basically, if you want this derailleur contact us, and we’ll help you get the right size braze on adapter. It will add about 27 bucks to the total.
If you just order the derailleur right here and now, it will not ship automatically with any braze on adapter.
Bottom pull.
