Brooks B68 Saddle

$170
Color:Honey Brown

The B68 is basically the same saddle as the B67, but with no springs underneath.  It’s a staple on the Rivendell builds we do, where folks want to sit upright and rock some swept back bars.  The more upright you sit, the further apart your sit bones spread, the wider your saddle needs to be.  That’s why beach cruisers have wide saddles and tour de france bikes have narrow ones.  The B68 is barely heavier than a B17.  It’s incredibly comfortable.  Sort of mind bogglingly so.  It basically needs no break in, but gets better as you do break it in.

As with all leather saddles, treat it once a year with Brooks Proofide or Obenauf’s.  Just a little bit, two pencil eraser sized amounts warmed in your palms and smeared onto the saddle.   Buff it off when it sets and dries.

Riding in the rain?  Get a Fifth Season B67 saddle cover.  It will work perfectly for this saddle.

Rivendell brought this saddle back as Brooks had discontinued it, and only very cool Riv dealers have these.
