Durable, beautiful wheels for your standard spacing ATB or MTN bike. Wanna avoid carbon? We do! Carbon rims are just future landfill trash. Carbon can not be recycled, and only a few carbon items can be repaired for a reasonable price. We say: save hundreds of dollars, and stick with the current crop of excellent aluminum rims. Contemporary aluminum rims are strong, light and stiff but cost a fraction of what a carbon rim costs. Plus, at the end of their life they can be fully recycled!
Bitex hubs are exceptional. They're light, have fast engagement, excellent bearings, incredible manufacturing tolerances. We've spec'd Bitex hubs on our complete builds, custom builds and personal bikes for years. They hold up to Vermont mud and slush. The finish is simple but good.
The Velocity Blunt 35 rim is perfect for bike packing, enduro riding, mountain biking, and loaded touring with big tires. It’s beefy, 35mm wide (external width), tall and strong. 500ish grams, so there’s enough aluminum there for plenty of strength. Good for loaded off road touring for riders up to 200lbs.
Analog built wheels are built by Mark, who has been building wheels since the mid 1980's, and checked over by James who has been building wheels since 2000 or so.
Quick note on shipping. We will ship your wheels using bikeflights with full insurance. The shopify system will automatically bill you SOMETHING for the shipping. We will bill you for the difference, or refund you, after we build, box, and weigh the wheels. Wheels will be shipped in about 2 weeks, after they work through Mark's build queue.
