Storm proof matches (aka Waterproof matches) are of variable quality. Maybe they always were, but these days, it’s easy to get your hands on some crappy ones. The UCO Titan matches are well made, though, and you can carry them knowing that you could light one in a driving rain storm and it would still flare up with a big, long burning flame. Ideal for starting fires when it’s damp out, or in a down pour. Not for lighting your alcohol stove, you just need a sparker for that. You’ll get at least a 25 second burn out of each match, probably more.
