Tanaka Copper Bottle Cage

Almost all good bottle cages are made of steel or titanium.  Aluminum bottle cages are not as durable, in that they can't be bent in a crash then bent back.  That said, this Tanaka copper plated aluminum bottle cage gets a pass, because copper ages beautifully, like a good record, say Ann Peebles 'I can't stand the rain', an album that changes and grows with time and context.  

This copper will take on a patina that is reflective of its environment.  More urban riding will yield a darker emerald patina, and rural environments a lighter teal green.  This takes time, rain, exposure.  You have to ride your bike to develop this look, which is a good thing.
