SRAM Apex RH Brifter LH Brake Lever Set for 1x11

Gentrification makes places boring.  I used to live in a warehouse squat in Baltimore.  That warehouse is now luxury condos.  Before that I lived next to two pool sharks right off the train tracks in South Baltimore, across the highway from Pigtown.  Baby Teeth Dave, and Mike.  Dang, they loved to get arrested.  It was like the big weekend event.  Go do something sketchy then resist getting arrested.   I found my cat there, Dr. Doorknob, a big grey mainecoon who loved to catch ravens and bring them in my rowhouse. Ironic cause the I despised the Baltimore Ravens, and really all football, ball games in general, excluding foosball.  Does it count as football?  They plastic feet...The world will be right again when we venerate Badminton players, hop scotchers, and tik-tac-toers.  

Back in the interesting Baltimore age, there was a porno theater called the Apex, which I guess is a nicer way to say climax.  It was on north Broadway, maybe 6 blocks north of where the tourists ate Bertha’s Mussels, or Got CRABS? or whatever the hell they did.  Fells Point, as an art student, was a place to be avoided at all costs, as was the Inner Harbor, or really anywhere that people gathered who showered on the reg. 

Anyway, back to the Apex.  Whenever I see these SRAM Brifters, I think about the Apex and good Baltimore.  Not dirty thoughts, mind you, but of college shenanigans, hijinks and tomfoolery.  

The thing to know about SRAM Apex shifters is that they shift 100% as good as SRAM Force or Rival brifters.  Same ergonomics.  Same action, same adjustability.  They’re less expensive because they use ‘cheaper’ materials, like steel and aluminum and plastic, not Ti and Carbon and machined aluminum and plastic.  Get the Apex shifters if you wanna save a few bucks and don’t mind the guy getting a natural process Ethiopian pour over looking over his copy of Art Forum at you with a puzzled, slightly disgusted look.  He’s a jerk anyway.
