The Aeffect R cranks use Cinch compatible chainrings, which direct mount to the crank. I like this system. You can flip rings around and mess with chainlines. These cranks use a 30mm bottom bracket spindle, so there are loads of good bottom brackets available, from White Industries, Raceface and Wheels Manufacturing.
