Ingrid Chainrings

At first glance, there is nothing special about the Ingrid Chainrings.  Yes, they’re Italian, the machining is good, they look fine.  The interesting bit is in the mounting.  Ingrid chainrings mount to the spindle of the bottom bracket, not to the crank.  That’s the antithesis of every other crankset out there.  Why do this?  I speculate that it allows Ingrid to optimize the crank for… cranking.  The spindle already has to resist wind up flexing forces, and it’s a more natural fit for a chainring than the cranks for that purpose.  I think it’s quite brilliant.  Of course it’s proprietary, but lots of legit new tech starts as proprietary before other makers catch on and start knocking it off.

You need a special Ingrid chainring tool to install the chainring on the spindle.  Get it here.

Ingrid does not use boost chainrings, all of the chainrings are flat and become either boost or standard 142/135mm chainline depending on the spindle.  The wider 136mm spindle is for boost chainlines, and the narrower 131 spindle is for standard chainlines.  The wider spindle moves the chainring out the needed amount for the respective chainline.

All Ingrid rings are 10, 11 and 12 speed compatible. They only work with Ingrid Cranks.

With many high end cranks and such, there are two things to note:  One, we can't possibly stock em all, but we appreciate you ordering thru us, regardless.  We'll get the order in asap, and ship it to you, without you dealing with customs or hefty shipping fees.  There's a bit of lead time, but that's the case with most high end bike bits!
