Ritchey Kyote Bar

True Fact: if you leave a can of seltzer in the cooler for 4 days, and that cooler was in a boat, and that boat was in the water, the top of the can will smell like fish when you drink from it.  Knowing is half the battle.

Have you seen Tom Ritchey’s mustache?  The thing with such a powerful mustache is, if you drinketh from the boat cooler, that aquarium smell will be on your upper lip for days.  Weeks even.  But if you are Tom Ritchey, it will be there forever.  He collects scents, and stores them in case of an emergency.  Odd criminal situations keep cropping up, like dandelions.  The bad guy says something like: I won’t kill the kid if you can name this smell.  And he wafts a small slip of scented paper under Tom’s nose.  And Tom wiggles his mustache, squints his brow, and says: it’s the bathroom at the old truckstop off I-80 that closed in ‘93.  I forget the name.  And the bad guy lets the kid go.  It happens weekly, on the Starz channel.  The show is called Mystery Mustache.

Tom Ritchey knows a thing or two about making handlebars.  He’s been doing it since the early 80’s.  Word on the street, real deal, not made up Star show: he taught the folks at Nitto how to braze, so he could have them make his bull moose bars, which are loosely shaped like his mustache.  These Kyote bars are kinda based on his 'stache as well.  Uppy then droopy, like a kid’s drawing of a seagull.  This puts your hands in a very ergonomic spot.  If I was forced to put a flat bar on a mtn bike, I’d put these on, and some ergon grips.  I’ve ridden it around, on a few fat bike rides, feels great.  Wide enough for all but the slackest head angles.  Strong enough for normal mountain bike use.  Not hucking bars.  Not Bender Approved.

27 degrees of sweep. 30mm of rise, 800mm wide, that's WIDE! You can cut these suckers down if need be.
